Inspired or Inspiring?

What it means to be inspired by people? I think it means that we should try to be as good as them. Maybe I've been wrong my whole life by targeting the result instead of the process. I think the second one makes more sense to follow.

What it means to be inspiring? If it means to be the best model for others I don't think I can stand the burden. Hence I never have a chance to be one so why bother trying to be one. Inspiring or not it's not in one's control. But being the best version of one self is.
